Habitat for Humanity

My workplace allows 1 day a year for some volunteer work. This years some of my workmates and I spent a day helping to build a house in Porirua. The first task we were allotted was to take down some scaffold to a lower level and reconstruct it. This I can tell you was not light work as my muscles and some I didnt know I had ached for a week!
We had a lot of fun really and took turns with the nail gun, painting stopping up holes and some did the gib boarding. We were very fortunate that the rain stayed away For A Change!!
It has been a busy time with Christmas looming with work Christmas Party and team dinners ! I think I will be having to walk a lot to counteract all that food.

Our work Christmas Party was held last week and it was at the James Cook Hotel on the 16th floor wonderful views of Wellington it had an International theme and the costumes were many and varied the photos show my team at work before the party. Can you Guess what I was ? Not Hard I think!

Kapiti arts Trail

It was a great weekend all round on the 7th and 8th November.
There were 101 artists studios and galleries to visit., From Paekakariki to Otaki including Raumati Paraparaumu and Waikanae, we didnt quite make them all but gave it a good shot, it was glorious weather and we all felt maybe summer had come at last!

Nina Matt and Jordan came to visit one winter weekend we had lunch at Long Beach and a walk.

Other photos include the garden of the Front Room Cafe in Waikanae and photos taken on my daily walks up The Terrace in Wellington in my lunch hour in a desperate attempt to get fit!!!! Before summer come if that ever happens , this has been the longest winter.

HOLLYWOOD OR BOLLYWOOD QUIZ NITE

A great night was had by all when we had our annual quiz night for Institutional banking and Market ops, it was held at The Boathouse on the Lagoon Wellingtons waterfront
Our team was the Kumars!! and we dare I say came last but as they say its all in the taking part!!!
We had a great meal and danced the night away.
The bank even provided all with taxis home but the cost didnt quite run to Waikanae so I opted for Ninas couch in silverstream.
A great night was had by all and here are some of the photos . Getting ready at work and at the venue. I took some of the waterfront but was too dark and didnt do it justice as it was a really magical scene, You cant beat Wellington !!!
